On August 3, 2026 the City of Klamath Falls proclaimed August as “Klamath Rising Month” in recognition of Sky Lakes and Community Partners receiving the Foster G. McGaw Prize. The Foster G. McGaw prize was awarded for Klamath Falls’ collaborative work in five focus areas: local food systems and nutrition, education and workforce development, the Wellness Center, tobacco prevention and healthy living, and healthy spaces and community projects.
