2025 Movemeber Celebration & Mo-Stache Competition

We ended the 2025 Movember season with an awesome celebration of Men’s Health and Awareness at the Klamath Falls Yacht Club. We came to celebrate all the first responders who participated in the Strutt Your Stuff Challenge. This year’s winner is the amazing contingency from Oregon Department of Forestry 80 pts claiming victory against close runner up Kingsley Air Field 64 pts and integrated Law Enforcement coming in 3rd with 47 pts. Congrats ODF for your well deserved win!

Next on the agenda is our annual Mo-Stache competition where community members grew their facial hair all month in preparation for this challenge. All staches were epic but only one will be crowned this year’s winner.

Most Fitting - David Wendt

Most Villainous - Jesse Hunt

The Salt and Pepper One - Joe Mirasol

The Best Throwback - JR Scott

The First One - Colton Chaney

And the supreme winner is…. Mike Cook - Best in Show!

A special thanks to the dynamic duo of moustache judging - Mychal Amos and Masahiro Ito from Sky Lakes Medical Center.

Congratulations to Mike Cook, this year’s winner “Best in Show!”.

The night continued with raffle prizes, great food from Zuc’s Backyard BBQ and a few words of wisdom centered around Men’s Health by guest speakers touching on hot topics. Justin Jannicelli, RN from Sky Lakes Cancer Treatment Center touched on the importance of testing and vigilance regarding prostate cancer and similar men’s ailments. Brian Pinkerton from Veteran’s Affairs spoke about men’s mental health, the importance of reaching out and openly speaking about suicide prevention. Dr. Glenn Gailis shared his wealth of knowledge about testicular cancer and men’s health in general and Jenn Scott from KBBH completed the men’s health circle by sharing information about mental health and all the available resources and services available in our community.

To end the evening, a battle of wits and useless knowledge ensued with our Annual Trivia Night hosted by Jenn Scott. What an awesome night! Thanks to all who came out, see you all again next year!
